Taskman is a mysterious from a futuristic alternate Earth. He has the ability to mimic the physical movements of anyone he witnesses and a inhuman immune system and improved healing. He claims that he has had these ability since childhood. He currently works as a spy and soldier for Hammer Corps by utilizing the techniques he has learned from his observation of superheroes and participates in mercenary jobs from time to time as well as black ops assignments for the government. A mercenary, he has no ideology except for that of his employer. Due to his ability to imitate the techniques and armory of other heroes and villains, the Taskmaster has occasionally been used to impersonate others.
The man who would become Taskman first demonstrated unusual abilities during childhood. After watching a cowboy show on television, he found himself able to duplicate the sophisticated rope tricks he had just watched the cowboy perform. He employed his power several times during his youth for personal gain, most notably when he became a star quarterback of his high school football team after watching one pro football game. Upon graduation, he considered a career as a crime fighter, but opted instead to become an agent for his government.
Taskman then began a program of observing the fighting techniques of a large number of Martial Arts Movies, gymnastic events and other costumed heroes, usually from news broadcasts and servailance tapes. He initially used his fighting skills to topple governments and take out terrorist groups.
Through his Earth's vast advancements a biological weapon was unleashed. World wide spread of the desease brought about the end of his world. Fighting his way through the thralls of crazed flesh hungry hordes Taskman escaped through an experimental inter-dimensional portal, bringing him to Metropolis. With time and study Taskman created a vast amount of identities with passports as well as a job at Hammer Corps.
